What pantry staples you’ll need to make this Low Carb Quick Pizza Sauce

Now let’s make this Easy Pizza Sauce Recipe

Get out your medium bowl, whisk and or spoon.

Start with putting your can of tomato paste in the bowl followed by the herbs, seasonings, oil and salt.

Mixing in everything first except for the liquid allows the herbs to be anchored in the paste so they do not float around creating the perfect flavors.

Once everything is well whisked up, slowly add the water in four increments.

This ensures that the sauce and water incorporates without a mess.

This recipe will make 3 cups of sauce which is enough for one large 11×15 thin crust pizza, or three medium 10″ round pizzas.

If you are only making a small pizza, you can save the extra sauce in a quart ziploc bag, airtight container or glass jar.

The leftover pizza sauce will stay fresh in the fridge up to seven days or three months if frozen.

Here is how I save my extra Low Carb Pizza Sauce

This truly is the best pizza sauce recipe as this pizza sauce freezes well!

I pour the excess into an ice cube tray and freeze.

Once the cubes are frozen, then I transfer them to a freezer-safe container or zip top freezer bag.

They keep up to 3 months in the freezer.

To use them, simply add the amount of frozen cubes you want to use to a small saucepan with a few tablespoons of water over low heat.

The additional water is just enough water to prevent the sauce from scorching in the pan.

Keep it over a low heat and stir occasionally until the cubes have thawed.

If you find you want a thicker consistency, just add in an additional cube or two and let them thaw in the sauce.

This way you will be able to thaw what you need and not cook up too much sauce at once.

You could also leave the frozen cubes to thaw at room temperature.

  • To increase the depth of flavor you will cook recipe ingredients before making the sauce with adding water. Simply heat 1 Tbsp. olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat then add tomato paste. Stir in the herbs you are going to use then cook pizza sauce stirring constantly for about 1 to 2 minutes. It will brown slightly as you cook it. Do not cook sauce for very long, you just want it browned a bit and warmed. Now proceed with the recipe where you add in the water.
