Whatever flavor you choose, it is the best sugar-free jelly where you can let your favorite fresh fruit shine!
It has far less calories than regular jelly and more natural ingredients like the fresh fruit juice you make for the base.
It is the perfect choice for a keto diet since there is no added sugar in the 4 ingredient list and your blood sugar levels will not spike!
Let’s go over what you need then I will show you how I make it!
What you need to make this keto friendly jelly

There are only 4 simple ingredients used in this low carb jelly that is a perfect fit for a low carb diet!
- 2 cups fresh or frozen berries (berries are a low sugar fruit)
- 1 cup water
- 1 box Simply Delish Jel any flavor (check best tips at the end of the post for combinations)
- 2 tbsp confectioners erithrytol (I prefer Anthony’s Brand off of Amazon but Swerve works too)
Let’s make some easy sugar free healthy jam!
In a small saucepan over medium heat, add your real berries with the water.
Bring them to a boil then turn down to a simmer for approximately 8-10 minutes, cooking them and mashing as you go.
Now with a sieve or colander over a bowl, pour the cooked berries into the sieve and push through.
You can also use an applesauce mill to remove seeds and excess pulp.
Now pour the strained berry liquid back into the saucepan.
Pour in a box of Simply Delish Jel in small amounts at a time while whisking.
Then add the confectioners erithrytol and whisk well until smooth.
Now turn on the heat to medium and bring to a simmer.
Simmer until it coats the back of a spoon.
Pour into clean canning jars with lids.
Refrigerate 1 hour to set.
Keeps up to 2 weeks in fridge if sealed in airtight jar.
Recipe makes 12oz.
A serving size is 1 tablespoon.

Each serving contains 1.8 g carbs and 0.5g net carbs when using blackberries.
If you use other berries like strawberries to make strawberry jam, it will change this slightly.
If you want to make large quantities of this recipe, it doubles and triples well.
This recipe cannot be canned like regular jams due to the absence of citric acid found in other jelly recipes.
You can however freeze it for later use.
Fill your jars with a 1 inch headspace and chill in the fridge first for a few hours.
Then once it is set and cooled, you can move it to the freezer up to 3 months.
Recipe ideas, Tips and FAQ’s

- Turn this into a homemade jam easily when you do not strain the pulp and seeds from the cooked fruit. This will eliminate a step and will still be just as the sugar-free jellies version.
- Do not skip the confectioners sweetener asked for. If you do not have any on hand, run some monkfruit through a food processor to turn it into a powder.
- It is best to stir this Low Carb Sugar Free Jelly up before using it in a classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich so it is easier to spread.
- Flavor possibilities are virtually endless so here are some of mine….ex. Blackberry Lime, Strawberry Raspberry, Raspberry Orange, Strawberry Rhubarb!
- Try this idea of stuffing some keto bread with the jelly then frying up for French toast! You can even make up some of my Keto Mock Maple Syrup.
- You do not have to use very many sugar alternatives in this recipe since the zero-calorie sweetener is already in the Simply Delish Jel already. This is a great way to reduce how many sugar substitutes you need to use to make this recipe possible.
- If you are wanting to try this with the unflavored option that Simply Delish has available, you can try even more flavor ideas like using fresh apricots for sugar free apricot preserves for example! The unflavored version does not contain sugar alcohol, or any artificial sweeteners, natural sweeteners or keto-friendly sweeteners. You can sweeten it yourself and follow my recipe above easily with any fruit you desire. I would use this option if you are wanting to use citrus fruit to make a marmalade.
- You can also experiment with using canned fruit if you want. Kids love all kinds of fruit so you can go with some juicy pear packed in juice. Strain the juice off and use as the “water” in the recipe, then cook and mash the pears to make the pulp. Proceed with the recipe as written.
- Try this recipe with allulose instead of the confectioners erythritol. It will have a softer set and be more jelly like you may be used to.
- I use this idea when I make the filling for my Keto Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble Bars (Gluten Free), except I use extra fruit and half the amount of water called for. This produces a thick fruit filling that holds up to baking. Rhubarb has a ton of water it in also so that makes a difference.
