Equipment

  • Large Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Airtight Container

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream or substitute plain yogurt regular or dairy free
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice fresh is best
  • 2 tsp Dried parsley
  • 1 tsp Dried dill
  • 1 tsp Dried chives
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder or 3 pressed fresh cloves fresh cloves add a bit of a bite, powder is more subtle
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened almond milk or sub 2 tbsp heavy cream + 2 tbsp water.

Instructions

  • Get a large bowl and whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream and lemon juice. Fresh lemon juice is preferred here as the flavor really is enhanced with fresh versus bottled.
  • Whisk all of the wet ingredients together until completely smooth.
  • Now add in all of the rest of the ingredients listed and whisk well. Scrape the bottom of the bowl so you do not have any pockets of dry herbs.
  • Once it is whisked very well, add it to an airtight container and let it sit for minimum of 2 hours in the fridge.
  • The flavors will meld together and become the dreamy, creamy ranch sauce you remember with all of the flavor!
  • This dressing will keep in the fridge for 7-10 days.

Notes

  • Pair this Copycat Longhorn Steakhouse Ranch Dressing with some boneless skinless chicken breasts in my Low Carb Chicken Bacon Ranch Casserole!
  • Make this recipe but eliminate the added unsweetened almond milk or cream to make it a ranch dip. It will be a lot thicker and perfect for dipping my Extra Crispy Keto Chicken Strips in!
  • Try making the dry mix only and mix with some powdered buttermilk to make your own ranch seasoning to use in your favorite retro recipes calling for a packet of hidden valley ranch dressing.
  • You can easily make this dairy free when you choose dairy free mayonnaise and dairy free yogurt.
