Easy gluten free cordon blue chicken sliders recipe

Easy Gluten Free Cordon Bleu Chicken Sliders Recipe

www.melissaraecarr.com
Hands down, these chicken cordon bleu sliders are one of the most exciting twists on a classic dish you can make on a weeknight or for game day. They’re rich, melty, and satisfying — but there’s a fun twist: no bread required. Instead of sweet Hawaiian rolls, soft rolls, or bottom and top buns, we use thick slices of uncured Canadian bacon as the “bun,” with shredded chicken, creamy sauce, and melty Swiss cheese nestled inside.

1 lb chicken breast, 1 cup chicken broth
  • Sprinkle generously with all-purpose seasoning or seasoning salt.
    additional seasoning salt
  • Cook at HIGH pressure for 10 minutes on HIGH. Once Time has ended let it sit for 10 minutes before releasing the pressure.
  • Remove the chicken breasts and shred with 2 forks. Add half of the broth back into the chicken and stir up well.

Cordon Bleu Sliders

  • Cut Canadian Bacon in half and place 10 pieces on the bottom of a griddle pan or baking pan.
    10 slices canadian bacon
  • Lay 1/4 slice of Swiss Cheese down then top with shredded chicken.
Sprinkle the shredded chicken with a few shakes of all-purpose seasoning salt.
Top the chicken with a 1/4 slice of Swiss Cheese and end with another 1/2 slice of Canadian bacon.
5 slices swiss cheese, 2 Tbsp seasoning salt
  • Place the skillet in a 350F oven and bake for 8-10 minutes.

Notes

Can I use chicken tenders or chicken fingers? Yes, but shred or chop them so they mimic shredded chicken in recipe. This is the best way to ensure the Swiss cheese melts into it, so they hold together.
What if I don’t like Swiss cheese? Gruyère, provolone, or mozzarella all melt beautifully — but Swiss gives the classic cordon bleu flavor.
Can I make these spicy? Absolutely — add paprika, cayenne, or even hot honey in the creamy sauce for a little heat.
How do I store leftovers? In an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
Will the sliders fall apart without buns? No — the Canadian bacon holds them together beautifully, even without bottom buns or top buns.
