I love having a pre-made, pre-mixed seasoning on hand for quick meals! It is so easy to season burgers, chicken, fish, even vegetables with this. Anywhere you would use PLAIN salt in savory dishes, use this for an extra pop of flavor!

It is important to use fresh spices that are vibrantly colored and not dull looking. Smash in-between your thumb and finger and see how strong it is. If it is weak, toss it. I purchase what I need from the bulk spice section in my local store. If you know you will be using it often, then purchase in bulk online and store extra spices in jars. It is best to make no more than 1 recipe at a time unless you know you will use it up in a month.

Mix the spices altogether until the color is uniform.

Store in a glass jar. Shake or stir before using as it will settle. I like storing mine in a recycled shaker container.

DIY Seasoning Salt

Forget buying a seasoning salt with additives and MSG, and make your own!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup sea salt
  • 1 tbsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder

Instructions
 

  • Place all in a large bowl and whisk together.
  • Store in an airtight jar up to 8 months.
  • Best if made fresh as you need it.
